Privacy Statement
In this Privacy Statement, The Art of Interior has described how it handles your personal data that it receives digitally from you through this website. We respect the privacy of our website visitors and therefore ensure that the personal information you provide is treated with the utmost confidentiality. Personal data is processed in a manner that complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Purposes of data processing
We store and process your personal data solely for the purpose of providing services and performing tasks as you have requested and as we have clearly agreed with you. When you complete a contact or registration form on our website, the data you provide will be retained for as long as necessary to fully respond to and process the form, depending on its nature. Your data will never be shared with third parties for commercial purposes without your express consent.
Click behavior and visitor data
Our website collects general visitor data. This includes, in particular, your computer's IP address, your username (if applicable), the time of your request, and data sent by your browser. This data is used for statistical analyses of visitor and click behavior on the website. We also use this data to optimize the website's performance. We strive to anonymize this data as much as possible. This data is not shared with third parties.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to track how users use the website. The information thus obtained, including your computer's IP address, is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Please read Google's privacy policy for more information, as well as the specific privacy policy for Google Analytics. Google uses this information to track how our website is used, to provide us with reports about the website, and to offer its advertisers information about the effectiveness of their campaigns. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or if these third parties process the information on Google's behalf. We have no control over this. We have not authorized Google to use the obtained analytics information for other Google services.
WebwinkelKeur
We collect reviews through the WebwinkelKeur platform. If you leave a review through WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide your name, city, and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this information with us so we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name and city on its own website. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. They use this information solely for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. WebwinkelKeur reserves the right to engage third parties to provide its services, for which we have given WebwinkelKeur permission. All the aforementioned guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the service for which WebwinkelKeur engages third parties.
Periodic newsletter
We offer a periodic newsletter to inform interested parties about news regarding our own services and related matters. Your email address will only be added to the subscriber list with your explicit consent. By "explicit consent," we mean a specific request for such a periodic newsletter, whether or not combined with a request for other digital products. Each newsletter contains a link to unsubscribe. The subscriber list for this periodic newsletter will not be shared with third parties.
Use of cookies
We use cookies when offering electronic services. A cookie is a simple, small file that is sent along with pages from this website and stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. We use cookies to remember your settings and preferences. You can disable these cookies through your browser; see, for example, this explanation from the Consumers' Association for more information. Cookies from the American company Google are placed via our website as part of its "Analytics" service. We use this service to track and obtain reports on how visitors use our website. Google may provide this information to third parties if legally required to do so, or if third parties process the information on Google's behalf. We have no control over this.
Your rights
Under applicable Dutch and European law, you, as a data subject, have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below, we explain these rights and how you can exercise them.
In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies of your data to the email address we already have on file. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by mail, we will ask you to identify yourself. We maintain a record of processed requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we record anonymized data. You will receive all copies of your data in the machine-readable format we use within our systems.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority at any time if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.
Right of inspection
You always have the right to access the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to this effect to our customer service. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address we have on file for you, along with an overview of the processors who hold this data, and the category under which we store this data.
Right of rectification
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you, corrected. You can submit a request to this effect to our customer service. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation that the data has been corrected to the email address we have on file for you.
Right to restriction of processing
You always have the right to restrict the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you personally or is identifiable from you. You can submit a request to this effect to our customer service. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address we have on file that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to portability
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you personally or is identifiable from you processed by another party. You can submit a request to this effect to our customer service. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all data about you that we have processed or that has been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties to the email address we have on file for you. In all likelihood, [Example] will no longer be able to continue providing services in such a case, as the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.
Right to object and other rights
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of us in certain circumstances. If you object, we will immediately cease processing your data pending the resolution of your objection. If your objection is justified, we will provide you with copies of the data we process (or have processed) and then permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe this is the case, please contact our customer service.
