Anyone looking for stylish wall decoration will quickly turn to canvas. Another option is an art frame with interchangeable print. Both are used to display an image or artwork on canvas on the wall, but the construction and method of use differ.
With canvas, the image is printed on a fabric and stretched over a frame. The artwork thus forms a fixed unit with the canvas frame. With an art frame with interchangeable fabric, the frame remains the fixed base, while you can replace the fabric with the art print. This allows you to use different artworks within the same frame without having to reattach the frame to the wall.

When you choose a artwork on interchangeable print, you opt for more flexibility than with a traditional canvas where the image is part of a fixed whole. Do you want a different image, color, or atmosphere after a while? With an art frame, you can simply replace the canvas. With canvas, a different image usually means you need a new artwork. The art frame is therefore an interesting option if you like to be able to adapt your wall decoration to your interior. This flexibility also offers an advantage when you are undecided between different artworks. Furthermore, at The Art of Interior, you can take advantage of a 15-day art guarantee: if the chosen image does not quite suit your interior, you can exchange the canvas within this period or exercise your right of return.
In addition to how you use the wall decoration, there is also a difference in the appearance of the fabric. Canvas typically has a recognizable woven structure that can be both visible and tangible. This texture gives a canvas a characteristic, more painterly look. An art frame with a textile fabric has a different appearance. The fabric is designed for displaying high-quality photo prints and has a sleeker, more refined look. As a result, a photo or artwork is showcased differently than on traditional canvas. In short: canvas often has a more pronounced fabric structure, while an art frame with a textile fabric offers a sleeker presentation of the photo print.
An important difference compared to canvas is also the ability to work with very large formats offered by interchangeable printes. A large art frame can be produced in sizes up to as much as 600 cm. This allows you to cover a wide wall, a long wall, or a large space with art as a single unified whole. Customization is also possible for specific dimensions. With a large art frame, you can also replace the canvas later. You can therefore create a large artwork without having to install a new large frame for every new image.
The main difference between an art frame and canvas is flexibility. The canvas is pressed into the profile of the aluminum frame using a silicone bead applied all around. This allows the canvas to fit taut and seamlessly into the frame. With canvas, you choose an artwork that is presented as a single unit. With an art frame, the frame remains on the wall, and you can replace the artwork later. Additionally, an art frame offers options for large formats up to 600 cm, custom sizes, and an acoustic version. The ability to change the canvas, in particular, makes the system attractive for those who do not want to purchase a complete artwork and frame repeatedly.
